Non-Targeted Audience
Another problem with advertising on television is that companies cannot target audience because televisions are watched by all family members and therefore company’s advertisement will be seen even by those people who are not the target customer of the company. Hence for example the advertisement of toy making company will not be watched only by kids but also by all family members of the family even though they do not have any interest in toys.
Less Flexibility
A television advertisement involves a lot of planning and money and that is the reason why once an advertisement is made there is no going back and if the advertisement does not click with the audience than the company will have to make new advertisement which will involve additional expense. In simple words unlike newspaper advertisement and online advertisement which can be edited multiple times, television advertisement does not have this flexibility and hence a limitation of television advertising.
